As a professional Medical Illustrator for 25 years, my focus was ‘in the detail’.
Everything had to be extremely accurate.
Hence, my drawing style is detail-oriented—mainly the faces of humans and animals. I love to capture the expression of one’s soul.
I use graphite and pastel pencils in my work. Some of my work will be graphite pencils with a touch of color.
I work from photographs, either my own or archival photos.
I am particularly drawn to Native Americans and the aged in humans. The deeper the expression, the more I am drawn in.
For animals, it is their eyes.
