Alex and the XO’s, fronted by multi-instrumentalist and Kala-endorsed electric ukulele artist Alex Knoph, delivers a genre-fluid sound that weaves together indie folk, nostalgic pop, ‘90s alt-rock, and the raw lyrical honesty of Midwest emo. Hailing from the Sierra Nevada foothills, Alex has toured nationally over five times and earned features on NPR, PBS, and in international media.

Expressive bold artwork. Rural studio outside Jackson, Ca. Motion dominates my work. My art dances with vivid color and uplifting emotion. I paint using cold wax and oil paints, acrylic paint and inks, encaustic wax, and alcohol inks. My toolbox includes gold and copper leaf, resin, ashes, charcoal and mark making tools. I earned a Bachelor of Art and MBA from Cal State University Sacramento. My work is in local galleries, public venues and collector homes.
