Alex and the XO’s, fronted by multi-instrumentalist and Kala-endorsed electric ukulele artist Alex Knoph, delivers a genre-fluid sound that weaves together indie folk, nostalgic pop, ‘90s alt-rock, and the raw lyrical honesty of Midwest emo. Hailing from the Sierra Nevada foothills, Alex has toured nationally over five times and earned features on NPR, PBS, and in international media.
With emotionally resonant vocals and intricately layered instrumentation, Alex and the XO’s carve out a distinctive sonic space—blurring genre lines while captivating listeners. Gallery 10 was founded in 1995 by eleven established artists living in the Gold Country region. The art work presented by these original artists represented a variety of media and artistic vision.
This wide range of artistic interpretation is still evident in the collection of fine art, jewelry, photography and pottery presented in the gallery today.
Gallery 10 is an “artists’ gallery” managed by a select group of practicing artists who display their work along with a carefully chosen group of consignor artists and craftsmen.
Located in the charming community of Sutter Creek, California, Gallery 10 is housed in an historic building dating back to the 1890’s. Formerly a saloon and bordello, the structure stands as an example of the commercial architecture of the mid 1800’s.

I am Dave Manousos, a fine artist originally from Oakland, CA, now residing in Northern California Gold Country, Sutter Creek, CA. I regularly display my artwork in the San Francisco Bay Area, northern California Sacramento region, and Southern California, including Las Laguna and San Diego. I have also exhibited in numerous east coast locations and recently in Zurich, Switzerland.
My specialty is acrylic medium painting. The “Big Eye Collection” combines my illustration and painting techniques, featuring an oversized eye on one side of the face.
Through vivid colors, textured layers, and abstract shapes, I depict nostalgic images of people from my life, aiming to capture fragmented moments and preserve history. Drawing upon memories of past relationships, family members, and significant moments, my paintings narrate stories of meaningful connections.
My intention is to evoke nostalgia, emotion, and timeless impressions in those who experience my art.
