The Amador County Arts Council (Amador Arts) is proud to announce our State-Local Partner mentorship with San Joaquin County (SJC). This mentorship is the pathway for SJC to gain a State-Local Partner, or Arts Council just like Amador County. The State-Local Partner means your county is part of a state-wide network of arts agencies that advance, serve, and sustain the arts and cultural ecosystem unique to each county. Since 1982, Amador Arts has uplifted, advanced, and financially supported generations of artists living and working in our community. We want SJC to have the same access to these resources!
This is a community-based effort through the use of a survey regarding the current and future state of the arts and culture in San Joaquin County. If you are a resident, lover, or tourist of SJC, please take some time to fill out this survey. All ages and opinions are welcome and encouraged to contribute. This survey will be closing on September 30th.
If you want to become directly involved with the creation of the State-Local Partner, you can join the working committee in Zoom every other Friday from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Our next meeting will be September 20th. We are currently seeking nonprofits to form a coalition to regrant and administer the State-Local Partner work. We are looking for artists, patrons, and the public to guide the coalition. If you would like more information please email us at info@amadorarts.org or text/call us at 209-256-8166.
