AMADOR COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL HOST POETRY OUT LOUD LOGO COMPETITION

The Amador County Arts Council invites all Amador County junior high and high school students to participate in this year’s Poetry Out Loud (POL) Original Logo Competition. Students are encouraged to submit logo designs in any media featuring the words “Amador Poetry Out Loud 2024”.

AMADOR COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL AWARDS $10,000 TO LOCAL ARTIST

The Amador County Arts Council is proud to announce the winners of the Supportive Funding Grants. Four grants of $2500 each are awarded to local artists and cultural practitioners. This year nine fabulous grant applications were received from 501c3 non profits, groups, and individuals. A blind review of the applications were made by members of an Advisory Committee, composed of citizens, artists, and cultural practitioners from all parts of Amador County, and the Amador County Arts Council approving the funding based on alignment with the mission and strategic goals of the arts council. The four grants categories this year are Indigenous Arts & Culture, Safe Space, Roots, and Youth Arts.

Amador County Art Council Hosts Free Poetry Workshops For All Amador County High School Students

The Amador County Arts Council is proud to present Find Your Voice – a six-week workshop series free to all Amador County High School students. Starting Wednesday September 20th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continuing every Wednesday through October 25th, Amador County High School students have the opportunity to explore written and spoken words. Located at the Historic Sutter Creek Grammar School, students will have guest speakers, teachers, and coaches to help find and strengthen their voices!
