The Amador County Arts Council, in partnership with the Amador County Department of Behavioral Health and the Amador Coalition for Suicide Prevention, is proud to announce HEART OF HOPE—an art show celebrating the hope, perseverance, and awareness of mental health and wellness.

Join us for a LIVE VIRTUAL RECEPTION via Zoom on September 10th at 6PM. This Zoom event will be hosted by Executive Director Meghan O’Keefe and will feature the art and music of the show, mental health resources and presentations from Amador SPEAK, Department of Behavioral Health, and certified wellness-arts facilitators. This event will also be live on Facebook, and the recording will later be made available on our website and YouTube.

Worldwide, all artists of all skill levels, all media, and all ages are welcome to submit works of visual, performing, music, multimedia, and literary arts. Pieces must be delivered by August 10th, 2020 to Amador County Arts Council, ready to hang/present, and with no exposed jagged edges or glass.

Artists may include artist bio and statement, maximum 500 characters. Works may be for sale, with a suggested donation to Amador County Arts Council. Artwork, signed gallery form, along with bio & statement must be delivered to the Amador County Arts Council no later than August 10th. No fee to enter show. This show is made possible by the Amador County Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the California Arts Council, a state agency.

Network of Care for Behavioral Health – This website is a resource for individuals, families and agencies concerned with behavioral health. It provides information about behavioral health services, laws, and related news, as well as communication tools and other features. Regardless of where you begin your search for assistance with behavioral health issues, the Network of Care helps you find what you need – it helps ensure that there is “No Wrong Door” for those who need services. The Community Announcements is updated frequently.
