1st Grade Art Project

“George the Dot”

The First-grade art project is designed around the art element of line. First-grade students are introduced to George the Dot. George is bored and wants to explore the world around him. Students learn that when George the Dot moves he creates a line. Lines are then used to create shapes and the shapes are used to create an imaginary garden for George the Dot to explore. Teachers are encouraged to use George the Dot to explore other areas of the curriculum, language arts, math, science, etc. George the Dot is a very Creative fellow.
