Arts Networking Open House May 24 in Jackson

For AmadorArts members, the event is FREE; or it’s just $5 a person. Everyone welcome! The location, which changes each time for this quarterly event, will be in Jackson Civic Center, 33 Broadway. Described as a Mixer for the Arts, guests mingle while enjoying the themed-event, this time featuring student art and music, and art-in-action on large murals. Complimentary appetizers and a no-host wine bar make coming to an Arts Networking mixer a friendly, fun, and casual experience. A raffle will be held to win 30 wildflower posters.

Twenty members of the Amador Glee Club of Amador High School, directed by Carol Harper, will be performing songs from its current repertoire which includes such oldie favorites as Rock Around the Clock and Scarborough Fair.  Ever think you’d like to see artists actually at work painting?  The Civic Center meeting room will be transformed into a mini-studio with several artists working on murals which will eventually end up for sale during this year’s Jazzin’ It Up in Jackson event on Saturday, June 23.
At any of these arts networking mixers, expect to see a variety of people. Of course artists of all types attend, but many others do too who just like to meet and have fun. There’s always a raffle and other surprises.  Visit www.amadorarts.org for all the latest arts-related info in the region.
