Artadia: The Fund for Art and Dialogue is now accepting applications for the Artadia Awards 2013 San Francisco from all visual artists living and working in the five-county San Francisco Bay Area: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo. Individual artists and collaboratives working in all media and at any point in their career are strongly encouraged to apply. Awardees will be selected in the winter of 2013 through Artadia’s two-tiered jury process. This is Artadia’s eighth awards cycle in San Francisco.

It’s Time for a Change: Third Napa ARTwalk Seeks Artists for a “Metamorphosis” Themed Exhibition

MONDAY DEC. 10, 2012 NAPA, Calif.— Arts Council Napa Valley (ACNV) and the City of Napa have released a call for entries for the third Napa ARTwalk sculpture exhibition with a theme of “Metamorphosis” to be displayed in Downtown Napa from June 2013 – May 2015.

Artworks displayed in the “Metamorphosis” exhibitionmay represent quintessential aspects of change. As a whole and in a wide variety of ways, artworks in Metamorphosis should remind viewers of the significance and joy of the seasons, the power of natural rhythms and the inevitability of both change and recurrence.
  
Artists interested in submitting work for the 2013-15 exhibition may  visit www.NapaArtWalk.org for application details and a link to the online application hosted on CaFE (www.callforentries.org). Work must be submitted on or by February 11, 2013 to qualify, with only completed artworks eligible for entry. Conceptual artwork proposals will not be considered. Each artist selected will receive a $1,500 stipend to supplement travel and installation costs.

ANDIS WINERY LOOKING FOR TASTING ROOM MUSICIAN

Andis Wines is looking for a musician/guitar player/violinist to play light background music for our new tasting room in Sutter Creek.  Gigs would most likely be Friday and Saturday evenings for approximately 3-4 hours, possibly more.

General info for Artists when our gallery eventually opens:

Due to limited space, we’ll be rotating artists on a six-month basis.  Artists will receive 70% commission, with AmadorArts collecting 30% to cover facility and promotional costs.  Each artist will be given eight linear feet of space to hang. We expect the emphasis to be on original work. We’ll establish a Waiting List of artists for the future. 

There will be a $35 fee to exhibit that includes a one-year membership in AmadorArts.  One of the perks of membership is that it also gives you the opportunity to promote yourself in another way – on the Artists Registry which is on the webpage.  A bio, your contact info, link to your webpage, and an example of your work will be seen by untold numbers of Internet viewers.
